In partnership with The National Association for Christian Recovery (N.A.C.R.), a weekend of experience with the eleventh step:
“Sought through prayer and meditation to improve our conscious contact with God as we understood Him, praying only for knowledge of His will for us and the power to carry that out.”
After initial sessions tying together Scripture and recovery principles, the retreat will turn to a more practice-based experience exploring specific spiritual disciplines that speak into the eleventh step.
Retreat guests will learn about Lectio Divina, soul writing, centering prayer, walking meditation, and guided imagery prayer. Each discipline will be briefly introduced before participants are given time and space to actually practice them, in solitude and small groups. The quiet and solitude of the Frio Rio Canyon provides an ideal environment for this work of improving “our conscious contact with God.”
